What advertising is free?
The following categories fall under free classified advertising.
Personal Items for sale under $300. For example, furniture, household goods, etc. Anyone operating for profit must place a business ad.
Garage sales. Please be mindful of our fortnightly print
Items wanted (excluding hobbyist collectors / collectors)
Multiple items of the same thing (Eg. 4 car tyres at $200 each) must be paid for
Give away for free
Items lost and found
Share accommodation - seeking a flatmate or someone to houseshare. If you wish to advertise a property rental, your ad will need to be placed under business ads.
North Coast Trader reserves the right to cancel any advertisement that does not fit into the above free category.
What advertising am I required to pay for?
PREMIUM CLASSIFIEDS:
Premium Classifieds are for Items over $300. For example, Cars, Boats, Caravans, Furntiure, etc. Personal Ads need to be paid for
(Looking for a friendship or relationship, travel companion, sports partners) will need to be paid for.
Premium Classified are $10 per ad, $5 extra for a photo. Premium Classifieds stay in for 2 issues
BUSINESS ADS
The following must place a Business Ad (Business Ads start from $15 for a business classified - see Rates for details)

Anyone operating for profit, eg. collectorss, animal breeders, getting rid of redundant stock (eg. ex business / market), growers, etc)

What are my payment options?
If placing your ad online, payment can be made by credit card or paypal.
Ads placed over the phone must be paid by credit card.
If posting details of your ad, send a money order or cheque to North Coast Trader, PO Box 1282, Mullumbimby NSW 2482. Cheques must be received seven days (7) prior to your advertisement printing. Dishonoured cheques received by advertisers will incur an additional $25 fee to cover administration costs.
Businesses advertising regularly may be entitled to open a monthly account with North Coast Trader. Please contact our office on 66841509
How do I place my ad?
You may place your classified or business ad yourself on our easy to use website. Alternatively you can contact our office by telephone or email.
If you have any problems using our website, please advise us and you are able to email your ad and photo direct to: sales@northcoasttrader.com.au
Can I add a photo to my classified ad?
When you lodge your ad on line, you have the option to upload a photo as directed. It must be a in jpg format and your image should be clear and uncluttered. North Coast Trader may decide to crop or adjust your photo if we feel it necessary. You can also post a clear photo to us, allowing time for receiving and processing.
How often does North Coast Trader come out?
North Coast Trader is distributed fortnightly in print on a Thursday and will be viewable on our website.
Where can I pick up a copy of North Coast Trader?
We distribute copies widely throughout the North Coast at various outlets in all three shires - see above for distribution outlets.
When will my ad appear in North Coast Trader?
Our homepage will advise you of advertising deadlines and the date of the next edition.
How long will my ad run for?
Free classifieds run for 1 issue. Premium Classifieds run for 2 Issues. Business Ads will run for one issue - If you place a business ad and wish to advertise for longer periods, discounts are available at checkout on our website. Minimum bookings apply to the Trades & Services section and On-Line Directory.
Can I re-advertise my free classified ad?
Yes. You can do so online, or by contacting our office.
How do I re-advertise my business ad?
If you have already placed a business ad with us, please contact us. We can easily retrieve your advertisement and take your order over the phone.
What is the Local Trades & Services section and Online Business Directory?
Businesses may wish to advertise in our Local Trades and Services section which appears towards the back of the magazine. This section offers a very affordable alternative to advertising and will be an easy way for your customers to be directed to your trade or service. You may also wish to consider advertising on our separate Trades and Services web only directory, which offers very competitive annual rates with the option of a link to your website.
The web only directory is easily accessed on our homepage by all customers using our site.
